Eleanor Gleason passed away Feb. 20, 2013, at the age of 88. Eleanor was born and raised in Cascade Locks, Ore., to Vera and Lester Sprague. She was a longtime resident of Lake City in Seattle, where she and her husband, Martin J. Gleason, raised their family and where she was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church for more than 40 years.
After losing her husband, Eleanor lived the last few years in Federal Way to be close to her son, and only recently moved to the Olympic Peninsula to be with her daughter.
She loved cake decorating, gardening and piano.
She is survived by her children, Michal L. Gleason and Eileen M. Johnston; four grandchildren: Brian, Kyle, Megan and Stephanie Gleason; and nieces Joan Hampton, Karen Phelps and Jana Carroll.
Services will be held Feb. 27, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Acacia Memorial Chapel, 14951 Bothell Way N.E., Seattle, WA 98155; 206-362-5525.
