Lavada Bosie Schultz, of Hood River, passed away Feb. 27, 2013, in Hood River. She was born Nov. 11, 1929, in McAlester, Okla., to Bill and Zoma Jones.
Lavada attended school in Hood River, Ore., and married Robert E. Schultz Jr. in 1946.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed making quilts, golfing, bowling, bird watching, gardening and attending softball games.
Lavada worked for Electronics Assemblers in Hood River and retired at the age of 72.
Survivors include her children: Linn Cich-Jones and her husband, Johnny, of Mosier Ore., Gerry Zurn, and her husband, Gary, of Boise, Idaho, Lucy Hart, of Hood River, Robert Schultz III and his wife, Sally Ann, of Chandler Ariz., Fred Schultz, of Chattanooga, Tenn., George Schultz, of Hood River, Tracy Carter and her companion, Lazaro Villa, of Hood River, and Joe Schultz and his wife, Janet, of Hood River.
Also surviving are grandchildren Cindy Beth, Michael Cich, David Huff, Andy Zurn, Daniel Hart, Deana Haywood, Robert Schultz IV, Jonathan Schultz, April Schultz-Nelson, Emily Schultz-Rodriguez, Luke Schultz, Erin Schultz, Jaimé Gehrig, Ashley Kay Streich, David Curl and James Schultz; sisters Carol Clement and Gayla Hill and brother Pete Jones.
Many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Schultz Jr., her parents, sister Lois Dean Clark, son James Schultz and grandsons Ben Schultz and Ray Huff.
Donations may be made to Heart of Hospice or any other charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held at the Hood River County Fairgrounds on March 9 at 1 p.m., with Bob Huskey officiating.
