John Wayne Neill went home to be with the Lord on Monday April 14, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. John was born Nov. 4, 1941, to Wayne and Eva Neill in the County of San Diego, Calif.
John lived in Mount Hood, Ore., for 27 years. He was a skilled cabinetmaker for 48 years. He loved family, friends, hunting, camping, and of course his beloved Harley.
John is survived by his wife, Rose, of Mount Hood; his three sons, Scott (Charlene), Tony Neill and Fred Wendt (Mary); grandchildren Kyrie (Terry) Fox, Kyle Neill (Catie), Austin and Kyle Wendt; two great-granddaughters; and two brothers, Mike (Jeannie) and Don (Dale), and one sister, Candy McKay.
John is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Rhonda Wendt.
A Celebration of John’s life was held on Friday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at Anderson’s Tribute Center, 1401 Belmont Ave.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Association, in care of Anderson’s Tribute Center.
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the Communion of the Holy Ghost be with you all. Amen.” (II Corinthians 13-14)
