Glen Edwin Kelly U.S. Veteran

January 28, 1939 - April 24, 2014

Glen Edwin Kelly, 75, passed away April 24, 2014, in Hood River, Ore. Glen was born Jan. 28, 1939, to Earl and Della Kelly in Merrill, Ore. Glen was raised in Odell, Ore., where he went to Wy’east High School.
As a young man, Glen went to work at Neal Creek Mill. He met and married Sharron Martzall in October of 1959, and moved to Rowena, Ore.
Glen served in the National Guard, and was later enlisted in the Army for special duty and was stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash., as a sharpshooter. After his military discharge in 1962, Glen worked for Harvey Aluminum/Martin Marietta Company as a pot line foreman, and retired after 26 years of service.
In 1970 Glen moved his family to Odell, where he and Sharron raised their three children. Sharron passed away in 2003.
Glen married Terrie Lee in October 2006. They remained in his home in Odell until his passing.
Glen was a very hard-working man, a loyal husband and good father. He enjoyed his family, farming, hunting, fishing, camping and the companionship of his loving dogs.
Glen is survived by his wife, Terrie; his children Kami Johnson, Keral Bailey and Michael Kelly; grandchildren Kaci Bailey-Kostelec, Crytsal Shaffer, Michael Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Cody Sprague, Beka Kelly, Shanan Kelly and Breana Kelly; great-grandchildren Lukas Bailey-Kostelec, Ashton Bailey-Kostelec, Bailey Shaffer and Boston Johnson; stepchildren Chris Lee, Ceci Browning, Erik Lee and Jeff Lee; and numerous step-grandchildren and many friends.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Kelly and Della Kelly, and wife Sharron.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 1, at Anderson’s Tribute Center, with burial to follow at the Mountain View Cemetery, 1235 Tucker Road, Hood River. A reception for family and friends will follow the burial at the River of Life Assembly Church, 979 Tucker Road, Hood River.
