Lynn Harold Pattee, 73, passed away Dec. 4, 2014, at his home in Mosier, Ore.
A viewing will be held at Anderson’s Tribute Center, 1401 Belmont Ave., Hood River, Ore., from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, with Military Honors performed by the U.S. Navy at 5:45 p.m.
Lynn was born May 17, 1941, in South Sioux City, Neb., to LeRoy E. and Leona A. (Hughes) Pattee but moved as a child and grew up in Portland, Ore. He graduated from Parkrose High School.
In August of 1959 he enlisted in the United States Navy and served proudly until 1961. While in the Navy he was stationed at Pensacola, Fla., and was a crash crew fireman. Upon his discharge Lynn moved back to Portland where he was employed a short time with Esco Founder and then started his career as a Portland firefighter in 1963 until his retirement in 1991.
Lynn enjoyed living on the family ranch and being in the great outdoors. He enjoyed beekeeping, building ships and hot rods and time with his family.
Lynn is survived and will be greatly missed by his life partner, Nancy Case, of their home in Mosier; daughter, Shannon McMahan, of Vancouver, Wash.; son, Shawn Pattee, of Palm Springs, Calif.; stepson, Mike Tabor, of Mosier; stepdaughter, Kathryn Brewer, of Oakridge, Ore.; six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and a host friends that he has collected over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marha Olson.
Memorials are encouraged to be made in Lynn’s name to either Parkinson’s Research Center or Hospice of the Gorge.
