Marge Rose McNeal, 85, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014, surrounded by those she loved at Providence Down Manor in Hood River, Ore. Marge was born Nov. 6, 1928, in Wendell, Idaho, to Fred and Carrie May (Meranda) Yates. She grew up in Idaho married J. Glen Anderson and raised her four children in Idaho. She moved to California and then to Hood River in 1993.
Marge was educated and trained as a dental assistant and worked for Eastman Corporation while in California. She volunteered at Providence Hospital in Hood River. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, knitting and sewing. She had a great sense of humor, was a very caring person who was a mothering figure to a lot of people!
Marge is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Janice Robinette, of Utah; son, Doug Anderson, of Alabama; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Marvel Yates; nieces Bonnie and Melanie, of Hood River; and a host of friends she has collected over the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, children, Vicki and Robert, and 10 siblings.
