Judith Ann Brening, of Silverton, Ore., passed away Sept. 2, 2014, at age 70. Judith, also known as “Java Judy,” enjoyed helping her son at his drive-thru coffee shop, and had a way of leaving customers laughing.
Her family included her son, Scott Smith, and his wife, Susan; grandson Travis Smith and his wife, Amber; two great-grandchildren, Neveah and Jaxen; her sister, Marilyn Adams, brother-in-law Glenn and their children, Doug, Brad and Mike.
Judy was born and raised in Hood River, Ore. She was an entrepreneur; in her life she started and owned a beauty shop, trucking company and women’s clothing store, and helped her son start Harley’s Coffee in Silverton.
She loved to laugh, work and play card games. She was a great mother and friend to her son Scott. She will be dearly missed.
