Lura Christine Osburn, 96, passed away Jan. 31, 2015, at Providence Brookside Manor in Hood River, Ore. She was born March 18, 1918, in Beaudry, Ark., the oldest of five children of George R. and Ethel Johnson Trantham. She was raised in Hot Springs, Ark.
Lura married Cecil H. Osburn in February of 1943, while he was serving in the U.S. Army. Cecil became a career officer in the United States Air Force. Lura was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Cecil H. Osburn, in 1986.
She is survived by her daughters, Cecilia Ann Mansur (and husband, Paul), of Hood River, Ore., and Pamela Sue Gosnell, of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren Jeffrey (and wife, JoLynn) Mansur, Scott (and wife, Sarah) Mansur and Kaitlin (and husband, Dan) Clarke; and six great-grandchildren: Joshua, Jadon, Tyler, Anna, Allison and James.
