Curtis Fehrs, 60, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at PeaceHealth Southwest Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver, Wash. Curtis was born Sept. 3, 1954, in The Dalles, Ore., to Edward and Faye (Merrill) Fehrs.
After graduating from The Dalles High School, Curtis married Laura (Lucas) in Libby, Mont., on June 22, 1974. Throughout his life Curtis also resided in Cascade Locks, Ore., Stevenson, Wash., and Vancouver, Wash.
Curtis’ profession was carpentry and some of his other interests included antiques, fishing, hunting and mushroom picking. He was a baptized member of Living Hope Church in Vancouver, Wash.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Faye Fehrs.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Fehrs; his daughters Kay BloomQuist and Kimberlee Fehrs; his sister, Laura Rush; and his brother, Daniel Fehrs. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service is scheduled for noon Saturday, Feb. 28, at Cascade Locks Cemetery, 86 WaNaPa St., Cascade Locks, Ore.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to the Ray Hickey Hospice House, 2112 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98661.
