Jane Rollins Mosier Lynch passed away on Feb. 12, 2016, in Mission Viejo, Calif. Jane was born in the Mosier House in Mosier, Ore., on June 4, 1924. Her parents were Jefferson N. Mosier and Mary E. Mahady, a former Mosier School teacher.
She was educated in Duluth, Minn., and was a graduate of the College of St. Scholastica with a bachelor’s degree in medical records administration. After a year as assistant director of medical records at Providence Hospital in Seattle, Wash., she was awarded her RRA.
She was a delegate to the Western Hospital Association convention in Los Angeles, and on that occasion was persuaded to accept the position of director of medical records at St. Johns Hospital in Santa Monica, Calif. She never returned to Seattle as planned because she so loved Santa Monica.
In 1949 she married Al Lynch. Together they raised their children in their beloved city. After Al’s retirement, Jane returned to work for six years as a consultant in Northern and Southern California and Arizona, followed by six years as an internal auditor of Washington Medical Center in Culver City. She and Al moved to Casta del Sol in Mission Viejo, Calif.
She is survived by Thomas M. and his wife Deborah, Mary E., David J., Patrick Joe and companion Janie, R. Jane, and Julia Coughlin, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Private interment was held in the Mosier Cemetery with cremains being placed next to her much beloved father and brother.
