Linda J. Cherry Jones passed away after a short illness on April 5, 2017, at her sister and best friend Nita Zazweta’s home. She was surrounded with love by her daughters and family.
Linda was born on June 20, 1947, to Gene and Thelma Cherry and was raised in Pocatello, Idaho. She was the eldest of five siblings.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother Randy Cherry. She is survived by her daughters Shelley (Chris) Wofford and Brandee (Tyson) Cipriano, four grandchildren and a great grandson, sister Nita (Tony) Zazweta, and brothers Geary (Des) Cherry, Kelly (Terri) Cherry, and she was deeply loved by her nieces and nephews.
Linda lived her last years in her cottage in the country, working in her garden while spending time with her family and friends that she loved so much. She was an active member of the Mt. Adams Elks and her community. She will be missed greatly.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on April 22 at the Mt. Adams Elks Lodge in White Salmon, Wash.
