Rosalin Mae Hanna was born in Hood River, Ore., on Oct. 31, 1923, to Chester and Constance Shute. She passed away on Aug. 11, 2017, in Albany, Ore.
Rosalin was raised in Odell, Ore., on a pear and apple orchard. She graduated from Odell High School in 1942. On April 2, 1945, she married John Hanna in Bremerton, Wash. They raised their children in Albany.
She loved to sew, cook and do crafts. She had many family dinners in their home. She also was a room mother and did a lot of babysitting. She enjoyed working on the election board. Her favorite thing in life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Many of her relatives still live in Hood River. She is survived by her sons Paul (Jackie), Brad (Jeanette) and Mark, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Walter and Bill Shute, Mary Plog and Ruth Hague.
Her memorial will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26 at Roger and Donna Shute's Home, 2978 Shute Road, Hood River.
