Rebecca Louise Bennett Miller passed away on Dec. 20, 2018, at home with family by her side in Hood River, Ore. Rebecca was born on Dec. 4, 1953, and was 65 years of age at the time of her passing.
Rebecca was born in Hood River to Cecil and Betty (Caldwell) Bennett.
She grew up in the valley and graduated from Hood River High School. She furthered her education at Portland State University and UC Berkley in California before returning to Hood River.
On March 17, 1989, she married Martin Miller in Reno, Nev., and they made their home in Hood River.
She worked as a counselor in social services and, more recently, for Hearts of Gold caregivers. She loved her family, spending time together, gardening and cooking … she was a great cook.
Rebecca is survived by her mother, Betty Bennett; husband, Martin “Marty” Miller, his daughter, Jennifer, and her husband, Mike Young; mother-in-law, Georgia Miller; and aunts, uncles and other distant family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil, and brother, James.
Rebecca was laid to rest at Idlewilde Cemetery with a private family committal service.
