Myrtle June Johnson passed away with family by her side July 15, 2018, at home in Odell, Ore. She was 78 years old.
Myrtle was born Aug. 31, 1939, in Parkdale, Ore., to Alfred Delas Miller and Agusta Elizabeth Byarlien. She was one of 12 children.
She married Dewane Delmer Johnson Feb. 8, 1959, and they had three children: Debbie, David and Michael. They were married for 58 years before Dewane passed away on June 28, 2017.
Myrtle worked for many years in the fruit industry in the valley.
She is survived by her children, Debbie (Jose) Ramirez, David (Lori) Johnson and Michael Johnson; grandchildren, Jose G. (Allisa) Ramirez, Maria (Salvador) Marquez, Amy Johnson, Josh Johnson, Brady Johnson and Trevor Johnson; great-grandchildren, Analise, James, Julio, Belinda, Angelica and Abigail; and siblings, Pam, Sharon, Shirley, Alfie, Floyd, Delbert and Vera.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Augusta and siblings, Martha, John, Ethel and James.
The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice for their amazing care of their mother and everyone else who assisted with Myrtle’s care.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 20 at Upper Valley Cemetery, 6917 Allen Road, Parkdale, Ore.
