Betty Jean Rush passed away Jan. 2, 2019, at Providence Hospital in Portland, Ore. Betty was 62 years of age at the time of her passing.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13 at The Port Pavilion on 395 Portage Road in Cascade Locks, Ore.
Betty was born in London, Ky., to Roscoe and Valerie (Perry) Rush on Aug. 17, 1956. For over 50 years, Betty and her family have lived in Cascade Locks and, at a brief time in Long Creek, Ore., where her beloved and favorite Aunt Valores Hall still lives.
Betty worked for the City and Port of Cascade Locks, operating the camera during meetings.
She enjoyed her many collections of Star Trek books and movies, and taking care of her cat, Midnight.
Betty is survived and will be dearly missed by her oldest sister, Rose Parke; her husband, George; her youngest brother, Alan Rush, and his wife, Lori, all from Cascade Locks; numerous nieces and nephews, plus many great-nieces and nephews; as well as her dear friend, Mary Caldwell, who helped take care of Betty’s cat while she was away.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brothers, Tom and Raymond, and youngest sister, Audrey.
But most of all, Betty “Loved Her Memories.”
