Upon the symmetrical date of Dec. 12, 2012 — 12-12-12 — two girls entered the world seven hours apart at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. The triple-repeat date, thought to bring good luck, was certainly one of good fortune for two Hood River families. At right is Amiley Caya Lara, born at 12:26 p.m. to Patty and Jesus Lara. Then came Tieryn Herneisen, born at 7:25 p.m., pictured with mom Inga, dad Donnie, and big sister Brynn, 2. The triple date will not occur again for 88 years, on Jan. 1, 2101.
