Wachlella falls  is one of dozens of waterfalls lining the Oregon side of the Gorge between Troutdale and Hood River. During wet months – and particularly during consecutive days of heavy rain like this week – the waterfalls are at their most magnificant.
Wachlella Falls is one of the more dramatic and accessable falls in the area. An easy mile hike leads to the thundering falls as seen at left. Below is Murna Falls, just a few hundred yards from the trailhead, located off I-84 at exit 40.
