Horizon Christian School soccer team ended its regular season with a bang Monday evening with a 5-0 home victory over Open Door Christian Academy. Grant Lynn and Mason Bloomster scored one each in the first half, followed in the second half by The result puts the Hawks at 5-3-1 in league play (3A/2A/1A Special District 5), good enough for fourth place in the standings. The season now moves into a mini playoff tournament, where Horizon will travel to the district’s top team, Life Christian (9-0 in league) on Oct. 28 to play for a shot at the tournament finals at Hillsboro Stadium on Nov. 1.
