Photo detail

LAMPREY pool at the base of Willamette Falls in this historic photo. The Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission is asking for public help to gather photos and accounts that reference lamprey. The project will round up historical photos, written accounts, newspaper articles, and other historical documents that show or reference Pacific Lamprey in the greater Northwest. The agency hopes that the gathered information about the “eels” will allow scientists to reconstruct the range and abundance of the species in the interior Columbia River Basin.
