June 6, 1968: A new pattern for commencement is woven by blue and gold gowned seniors in the Wy’east High Class of 1968 as they move toward their seats Tuesday. Besides the large group in the folding chairs, the grandstands were well filled for the Wy’east outdoor graduation. Scene for the 140-member class commencement is the Wy’east football stadium, on a stage used for county fair purposes each year. Lights were on, but the fast-moving commencement was over before they were needed. Weather was perfect for the ceremony, which was held outdoors by choice of the students.
