Jumping in with both feet

Photo detail

“During October we celebrate another Full Moon holiday. This holiday is a light festival that is celebrated for a week," says Godard. "During this time the school has an Homage Day where we all get dressed up in our traditional clothes and the students (all 320), parents, teachers and the owner of the school file into the gym and the students sit on the floor in front of the teachers and bow down to the teachers and parents three times asking us for forgiveness of any wrongdoings as they all recite a prayer of sorts. My colleagues and myself (in blue dress, far right) pose for a photo in our traditional longies after the Homage Paying Ceremony.”
