Ben McCarty has been with the Hood River News since 2006. During his time on staff he has served as the sports editor, local news reporter and web producer/editor. He enjoys all aspects of his job, particularly learning and experiencing new things practically every day while covering the local sports season. However, his favorite days are when he gets to cover "sporlitics" double headers where he manages to squeeze in time for local government meetings and sporting events in a single evening.
