Public involvement group meets on bridge project; inspection confirms bridge needs replacing

The first meeting of a public involvement group marks a monumental milestone for the Hood River/White Salmon Interstate Bridge Replacement Project, but there is still a long way to go. Efforts are still being made to involve The Columbia River Intertribal Fishing Council (CRIFC) and, meanwhile, a recent bridge inspection only confirmed what many in the community already know: The bridge needs to be replaced, and soon.

First Budget Workshop a success, second is Nov. 8

Hood River County held its first Budget Workshop at the Fairgrounds Community Building in Odell last week; and a second, identical workshop will be held at the Hood River Valley Adult Center next week.
