Seven-game losing streak comes to an end at home

Two-days before the HRV boys basketball team would’ve been without a win for a whole month, they finally are able to put an end to the seven game losing streak as they won at home on Friday, Jan. 12 by a final score of 66-44 versus Corbett.

A 1-2 record at the Vince Dulcich Memorial Tournament in Astoria last weekend moved the HRV girls basketball team to 7-5 on the season before opening 2018 on the road versus St. Helens on Jan. 3.

After team success versus St. Helens in their home opener and some individual successes, as well as a girls first place finish in the Liberty Tournament last weekend, the HRV boys wrestling team continued their early dominance against Stevenson and the girls against Washougal in the Battle of the Bridge dual meet last week.

Horizon boys carried by big three in Hawk Invitational

Horizon Christian hosted their annual Hawk Invitational basketball tournament this past weekend and four teams from the OSAA 1A conference — Trinity Lutheran, Damascus Christian, Triad and Horizon —competed in the boys side of the bracket.
