Daniel Francis Rawson and Leia Kathleen Langhoff, both of Vancouver, Wash., were married Jan. 22, 2017. The ceremony was held at Timberline Lodge Raven’s Nest, with the groom’s father, Patrick Rawson, officiating. A brunch reception followed.
Parents of the groom are Patrick and Becki Rawson of Hood River. Parents of the bride are Joan Langhoff of Glen Ellyrn, Ill., and the late Charlie Langhoff.
Terese Bernardi was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristin Buese and Christy Sharp. Best man was Sean Rawson, brother of the groom, with Billy Renz and Michael Brochart serving as groomsmen. Ushers were Randall and Cory Langhoff, brothers of the bride, and Pam Langhoff, wedding planner. Liam Langhoff was ring bearer and Milla Langhoff was flower girl, with Joan Langhoff senior flower girl.
Musicians were Katie and Claire Rawson, sisters of the groom, accompanied by Ben Ballinger.
The bride wore a shirred bodice wedding gown topped with a Kelly green satin princess cape, and carried a bouquet of white roses with winter greens and pinecones. The couple honeymooned this summer with a National Parks tour, and make their home in Vancouver.
Danny graduated from Hood River Valley High School in 2002, received a BFA in photography from Oregon State University in 2006 and an AA in radiology technician from Linn-Benton Community College in 2010. He works as a commercial photographer.
Leia graduated from Michigan State with a BA in chemistry and osteopathic medicine in 2011, and received a masters in public health from Oregon State University in 2013. Her family practice residency was at Lakeland, Mich., and she now works as a family medicine doctor at a Vancouver clinic.
