CITY OF HOOD RIVER, OREGON (pop. 8305) is accepting applications for a fulltime Parking Enforcement Worker. The Parking Enforcement Officer is a non-sworn and unarmed personnel. This position has responsibility for and is a contact person for the City Parking Enforcement Program including monitoring parking and issuing citations for violations of parking code. Incumbent will provide parking enforcement multiple times per day. Will provide information and assistance to the public, answer citizen questions, and respond to complaints. Seeks and assures compliance from responsible parties. Testifies in court as necessary presenting all aspects of evidence as necessary. Minimum qualifications include possession of a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, and must be 18 years of age or older. Rate of pay will range from $3348-$4130 per month, depending on prior work experience. The City of Hood River is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
