Harvest Moon Walk

Take a free Harvest Moon walk on Friday, Sept. 13 on the Riverfront Trail in The Dalles. USDA Forest Service Ranger Alyssa Thornburg will lead a one hour interpretive nature walk; meet in front of Columbia Gorge Discovery Center and Museum at 6:45 p.m. Sunset is at 7:20 p.m., and the full moon rises at 7:33 p.m. Along the way, Thornburg will provide interpretation of the moon’s significance to human and wild communities. The Riverfront Trail is paved and wheelchair-accessible, but expect to walk or travel about a mile throughout the evening. Bring your friends and family to this free event, but please leave pets at home. The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center is located at 5000 Discovery Drive, The Dalles.
