Lions Peace Poster contest winners, announced last month, remain on display this month in the Hood River Library basement hallway known as Library Lane. Each fall, Hood River Lions invites students at local middle schools to enter the contest. First place winners ran in earlier editions; on this page are posters by second, third and honorable mention placers.

Overall winner was Aileen Gonzales, an eighth grade student at the Hood River Middle School, whose poster goes to the statewide Oregon contest. Runners-up are second-place Kailey Speidel, an eighth grader at Wy‘east Middle School, Ayleen Avelar, a sixth grade student at Horizon Christian School, and third-place Ester Solorio, an eighth grader at Mid-Columbia Adventist Christian School.
