Rebuild-It Work party

Last Saturday, Hood River Rotarians and Hood River Valley High School students helped clean up and organize the Gorge Rebuild-It Center, motivated by the recent Hood River News article about the damage done at the center during the recent burglary, said Rotarian Paul Crowley. “That led me to reach out to the center’s manager, Steve Carlson, who is a longterm friend,” Crowley said. Standing from left to right: Doug Campbell, Rotary President Emily Curtis, Rebuild-It Board Member Graydon Murphy, HRV exchange students Lucretia Orandelli (Italy) and Hana Sato  (Japan), Jack Miller, Poppy Miller, Mira Olsen, Jeff Hecksell and John Estes. The non-profit Rebuild It Center is located on Tucker Road just south of Eliot Drive, and serves as a community resource for re-purposing building materials.
